Registered or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant — Neurology

Department: Neurology

Hours: 36-40 hours per week; Monday-Friday; 8:30am-4:00pm or until last patient is cared for

Available: immediately

Job Duties:

All aspects of medical assisting.
Preparing patients for exams.
Assisting physician with exams potentially including EEG/EMG nerve conduction studies/ previous experience in these areas a big plus.
Obtaining vitals and patient histories.
Charting/recording on EMR.
Monitoring patients.
Stocking and cleaning exam rooms/work area.
Front office clerical duties/ scheduling, phone interactions.
Referrals, pre-certifications/authorizations.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

RMA or CMA required.
Previous medical office experience.
Knowledge of EEG/EMG nerve conduction studies highly preferred.
Must be familiar with Electronic Medical Records/ electronic charting.
Knowledge of medications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary.
High energy with attention to detail.
Ability to function in organized manner within a very busy, fast-paced setting.
Focus on quality patient care.
May require rotation to other satellite location/s if needed.
