Gastroenterology Services Expand Outpatient Care at Graves Gilbert Clinic
Bowling Green, KY — Oct. 9, 2024 — Graves Gilbert Clinic is proud to announce the expansion of its Gastroenterology outpatient services, ensuring greater access to high-quality care for the growing population of South Central Kentucky. As the region’s population surges, access to essential preventative services like screening colonoscopies has become increasingly important. Graves Gilbert Clinic is addressing this need by providing patients with consistent, reliable care from highly qualified physicians.
“We are pleased to be collaborating with TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital to enhance accessibility of outpatient Gastroenterology services in greater Bowling Green,” stated Michael D’Eramo, CEO, of Graves Gilbert Clinic. He continued, “The hospital has made the transition easy and in a very short period of time.”
The growing demand for gastrointestinal (GI) screenings, including colonoscopies and other preventative procedures, has reached a critical point. Regular screenings are essential for detecting early signs of serious conditions like colon cancer, which can be treated more effectively when caught early. Timely access to these procedures is crucial for building a healthier community, as they play a vital role in preventing long-term health issues and ensuring better outcomes for patients.
“As the premier hospital facility in the region, TriStar Greenview is dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare to the residents of South Central Kentucky,” emphasized Mike Sherrod, Chief Executive Officer of TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital. “We are excited to offer these specialized services to ensure that all patients have access to the care they deserve.”
Graves Gilbert Clinic’s Gastroenterology team will be focusing its practice at TriStar Greenview Hospital and the Greenview Surgery Center, an Ambulatory Surgery Center. These new state-of-the-art endoscopy centers will provide top-tier, specialized care and increase patient access. By expanding to these facilities, Graves Gilbert Clinic is delivering high-quality care that is both efficient and accessible. Patients receive valuable, expert gastroenterology treatment in their community.
“We are excited by the prospects of expanding our preventative services,” said Cory Fielding, MD, Graves Gilbert Clinic Gastroenterologist. “The ability to meet our patients’ needs with timely access to quality procedures has been a long-time goal of our GI group. We are thrilled to offer value-driven care that prioritizes the well-being of our community.”
Ann Monardo, DO, a member of the Gastroenterology team, added, “Patients were often waiting up to six months for crucial preventative screenings. We knew we had to enhance access while maintaining the highest standard of care. This expansion allows us to deliver on that promise.”
