Bio:

Dr. Lumbang’s practice focuses on treating skin cancers using various modalities including Mohs micrographic surgery and excisions, as well as topical and injectable medications. Prior to starting his practice in Bowling Green, he was on faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he trained dermatology residents and fellows on skin cancer treatment. He comes to South Central Kentucky with a great deal of experience, having performed thousands of skin cancer surgeries and reconstruction of wound defects following skin cancer removal.  While at Vanderbilt, he ran the high risk skin cancer clinic and managed complex tumors on immunocompromised transplant patients.

Dr. Lumbang received multiple awards during medical school and residency. His academic achievements include membership to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies, as well as speaking in national medical meetings and publishing on various scientific journals.

Dr. Lumbang is a strong believer in volunteerism and service. He is a ten-year veteran of the armed forces, serving both the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
