    Department: Anatomic Pathology Laboratory

    Job Type: Full Time

    Job Hours: 40 hours per week

    Job Duties:
    All aspects of histology with emphasis on dermatopathology specimens:
    Embedding
    Cutting
    H & E staining
    Special stains
    Frozen sections
    Immunofluorescence
    Immunohistochemistry
    Other duties as necessary

    Requirements:
    HTL (ASCP) certification
    Experience in grossing biopsy specimens
    Minimum 2 years experience in the field but may consider certified HT
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high focus on quality

  • Polysomnographic Technician

    Department: Sleep Center

    Job Type: Full Time

    Job Hours: 3 nights per week; 12 hour shifts (Fridays & Saturdays included)

    Job Duties:
    The Polysomnographic Technician performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or clinical director (MD,PhD) or designee.

    Requirements:
    Successful completion of a polysomnography program (RPSGT), of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited education facility.

    Registered Polysomnography Technician required.

    Minimum of 2 years experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies (RPSGT).

    Ability to work well with others and be able to establish a good rapport with patients.

    CPR/BLS Certification.

    Must be available to work Friday and Saturday shifts.

  • Phlebotomist–Floater

    Department: Laboratory

    Job Type: Full Time

    Job Hours: 40 hours per week; varying hours between 7:30am-7:30 or 8:00pm; Primarily 5 days per week but may include Saturdays and Sundays

    Job Duties: Phlebotomy duties in the laboratory (drawing blood for diagnostic lab testing)
    Cross-training in reference lab and front desk
    EKGs
    Drug Screens
    Will include assisting at other GGC lab sites on occasion or transporting specimens
    Other duties as assigned/necessary.

    POSITION IS A FLOATER POSITION; local travel is involved.

    Requirements: Must have proven skill in phlebotomy with previous work experience/certification
    Excellent patient care/interpersonal/communication skills
    Ability to multi-task with efficient time management
    Proficient computer skills
    Willing to travel between facilities/ flexibility--reliable transportation.

  • Registered Medical Assistant–Floater

    Department: Nursing Floater Pool

    Job Type: Full Time

    Job Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday-Friday with daytime hours; some Saturdays on occasion may be required

    Job Duties:
    All aspects of medical assisting including rooming patients, obtaining vitals & patient histories, assisting physician with exams/procedures, scheduling, precertifications; telephone interaction with patients/ ancillaries/ pharmacies/ physician offices, etc.; documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR); stocking/cleaning/monitoring exam rooms and equipment; responsible for assisting with steady and smooth patient flow within very busy setting, must be willing to provide assistance within multiple settings in various offices where needed from day to day; other duties as necessary/assigned.

    Requirements:
    Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant with previous medical office & EMR experience; teamwork-oriented approach with high focus on quality patient care; ability to remain organized while multi-tasking in fast-paced environment; exceptional interpersonal/communication skills; flexibility; computer skills necessary (familiar with EMR).

  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant–Ophthalmology

    Department: Ophthalmology

    Job Type: Full Time

    Job Hours: 36-40 hours per week; Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed 8am-4:30/5pm

    Job Duties:
    Direct patient care in the area of Ophthalmology including various testing; rooming patients; stocking, cleaning, and monitoring exam rooms;
    Clerical duties including telephone interactions and scheduling;
    All aspects of ophthalmic/optometric assistance;
    Other duties as necessary or assigned.

    Requirements:
    Certified Ophthalmic Assistant credentials must be obtained within first year of employment;
    Previous medical office experience helpful especially in the field of Ophthalmology or Optometrics;
    Must have proficient computer skills preferably with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience;
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high focus on quality patient care and customer service;
    Ability to multi-task/prioritize efficiently in a very fast-paced environment.
