Job Type: Full Time
Job Hours: Monday-Friday and subject to on-call weekends
Job Duties: Responsibility for assessment and management of cardiac patients including diagnostic and therapeutic intervention, day to day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care.
The nurse practitioner provides direct care to patients within the practice of the collaborating physician, as well as serving as a consultant, researcher, and educatorProvides pre and post operative care under the direction of the supervising cardiac physicians.
Assists the surgeon with invasive procedures at the bedside.
Works in collaboration with the medical, nursing and support services to provide patient and family focused care.
Perform history & physicals, documenting findings and communication with Cardiology and Primary Providers
Orders appropriate diagnostic testing and reviews results informs pts and providers of findings and required follow up.

Requirements: Previous medical office experience and/or Medical Center / CCU experience highly desired.
Current Kentucky licensure as Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse.
Professional certification as a nurse practitioner
CPR certification and ACLS/BLS required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high focus on quality patient care
